#WowWednesday – sometimes an activity just comes together, as this one did for Amanda’s MakaFun club this week 🐰 Demonstrating it with daughter Alice, this sensory hamper was: 💡 inspired by an empty hamper (Christmas gifts inside were yummy!)

🎁 made use of Christmas stocking fillers – caterpillar 🐛 from Asda and butterfly 🦋 from Primark

At MakaFun we love a good, multi use resource, access our downloadable resources, and links to our favourite multi use resources. We also love to share, so we try and share proven easy and multi use sustainable resources. Please share with us too! Post your ideas and photos using our resources to our socials

Our new years resolution was to deliver what you have asked us for, so look out in 2026 as there will be:

  • More inspiring ideas for activities and resources to support learning
  • Multiuse ideas to be sustainable and easier to make things at home
  • A range of training available to meet you needs, including Makaton training
  • The start our MakaFun Clubs where we can all share and inspire collaboratively
  • Finally, the one we have been asked for the most – to start making our products and sets available for you to purchase

The full Makaton Team attended the Singing Hands Christmas Show – We had lots of MakaFun on and off stage – see the photos in the gallery –>

Kerry and MakaFun Yorkshire attended the Big Bang, SENDiVERSE festival in Bradford. It was a joyous day filled with fun ( lots of MakaFun) and inspirational people, some picture in the gallery.

Amanda and Kerry, recently attended the DSUK Conference, where we caught up with friends and Makaton Colleagues, and shared our MakaFun ethos.
