Storytelling Week is vital for fostering a love of literacy, communication, and imagination through creative stories. It promotes cultural sharing and emotional development.

Using Colourful Semantics (a system of coding parts of a sentence by colour ( e.g who – orange) enhances this by making language acquisition, sentence structure, and story retelling more accessible, engaging, and structured for all children.

Incy Wincy Spider – Perfect for song/circle time. We use a water mister bottle to diffuse some water into the air, and our large soft cuddly spider to bring a holistic approach to the session.

You will need to cut out your spider, sun and rain cloud, Add some string and a hole punch to enable Incy to go up and down the water spout. Use Makaton signs spider, sun and rain to support language

You can extend with our sensory spider basket and our spider pat mat.
